Austin on vacation last week at a hottest wing contest. 12 min 12 wings. Habanero pepper and the ghost pepper( the 2nd hottest pepper in the world) Austin did it.Check him out.

Judges decision is in!!!!!

The judge denied the motion and Emily will be moving in Tommorrow. Yipee!!! congrats to us all. Welcome Home Emily to your forever family.

Want all of you to know that Guardian Ad Litem is filing a motion requesting that Emily not be moved until the school year is over. This will be today at 130pm, we will keep everyone posted on the outcome.

We got determination papers back and Gotcha Day is April 15th (The Move)Stay tuned...

All FDLE clearances are back!!!!!

Ok everyone we finally recieved our FDLE checks on our boys and our HomeStudy has been updated.

Everything went out to the other Agency who will send out (Emily's) file for approval. Once that comes back we can then pronounce her Gotcha Day and finally bring her home to her forever family.

We are currently in the matching process with a child and doing the meeting process to find out if we are both a good match with each other.Will keep everyone posted as we have more info. As we are required to not share pics or say anything about them yet.

Little note!

Just incase anyone was wondering how things are going with the adoption. Where to start!!!!Well first of all we are still waiting,we have expressed interest in boys and girls some matched,then foster family comes in to picture, then not matched. Still expressing interest and awaiting for disclosure meetings to find out more about some children to see where we go from here. As more information arrives and we are in a process of meeting a child we will then give another update. Sorry can't give any real good news, as we can't wait to share that news with our family and friends.

Adoption Picnic weekend in Bradenton!!!!

Well as some of you already know we went to Bradenton to an Adoption picnic to meet some potential children that were available for adoption this weekend. Out of the four that we knew of three were there. We got to meet them all and realized that one was not for us right away. She was very sweet,but to independant for what we are looking for. We did meet and hang out with one special little girl, she hung out with Kylie alot and also got to meet her sibling that was adopted before and her family. It was so cool we spent alot of time bonding with that family as well. They had the girl in their care along with her sister for a while,but only could adopt one at that time and no longer can adopt.BOOOOO.....I did go ahead and send over our Home Study to the case worker this am for this special little girl......
Also we do have a meeting on the phone next week for another child to see if we are matched as well. We will keep everyone posted.

So everyone alittle update!

We have been expressing interest in children, boys/girls. As of now we really haven't identified a child and been potentially matched with anyone as of yet. We are going to an adoption picnic to meet some potential children that are available to see how are children and other children that are available do together. We also are waiting for a potential match with a child/children right now and hoping to hear back this week. We will keep everyone posted.

We got approval!!!!!!

Today at 4:58pm We recieved our approval.Yipee!!!!! How excited we are. We will be talking to the kids tonight and looking at different sites to see whom we all believe will be a good fit for our family.
Can't wait!!!

1st month of school

Emma and Kylie both came home with the 1st student of the months from school.Hooray!!! girls good job. awesome!!!!! :)

YEAH!!!

We are happy to say that our last home study visit was completed yesterday. We look forward to having the process finalized and move forward with getting matched with a child/children.

Home Study update!!!

Our caseworker called yesterday and asked if she can come see us this week. Well of course we said, "Can you come today?" I'll try she said,if not then I can come tommorrow. Well it worked out that she actually came this am for our first visit and scheduled our second visit for Monday. Unless something comes up to have to reschedule. Keep your fingers crossed nothing comes up to delay Mondays appt.

Our Home Study visits are booked.

Are dates are set for Oct.4th and 11th. Our Case worker will come out for 3-4 hours and meet with us and the child individually & together, then write up our home Study and have it turned in for approval by the 17th. We should be able to submit it to the agencies for children we are interested in soon after. Its getting there!!!

The Kids are all back to school now!!!! PARTY TIME PARENTS!!!!

Kylie on the other hand was so excited:The first thing she said when she woke up was "Mom I can't believe Im gonna be a Kindergartener." We let her ride the bus and we followed the bus to school to get her use to the schedule and where to go,then walked her to her class.She was so excited....

 

 

Our Due date is Oct.17th

Our caseworker told us our due date is Oct. 17th, meaning that our home study and everything should be done, approved and turned into the manager for last overall check before handing it over to us. Then we can start to identify a child/children and get matched. Once we are matched we start visiting the child in their town gradually to get comfortable with each other and see if it will work. Finally when the child/children are comfortable they can move in. Best part if all goes well after 90 days then the adoption is finalized in court. Yippee!!!!!
